What camera module do you use inside the dome?
We buy direct from Sony and use the FCB-EX490DP CCD COLOUR VIDEO CAMERA 18x zoom in the RV18-830-DOME and FCB-EX985EP: 1/4 SUPERHAD 11 PAL 28x zoom D/N in the RV26-830-DOME
Can I put my own company name on the dome?
Yes. Redvision offers a professional ‘Your Logo’ option for its range of RV domes. The logo is produced with a high quality resin finish and is tooled to fit neatly on both IR lamp pods. The service is available on any number of domes. Contact sales on +44(0)1 420 448 448 to discuss.
How many alarms can the dome interface with?
The RV dome has an optional 16 way alarm card (code RV-ALM16). The alarm card docks to the main PCB within the power supply unit. There is also an optional wireless accessory card which can dock to the main alarm card which can accept up to 16 Redvision wireless PIR detectors.
Is it possible to switch off the date and time feature in the dome?
The date and time feature can be swtiched off. from the SUPERVISOR menu select MENU>SET UP>DISPLAY>DATE/TIME POSITION. Toggle UP/DOWN to 'OFF' position.
Can Redvision domes and brackets be painted in different colours?
Yes. All Redvision domes and related bracket options can be colour coded to suit a particular application. We would require the RAL colour reference number. There is an additional cost to this service. Contact sales on +44(0)1 420 448 448 to discuss.

Is a power supply unit supplied with the dome?
Redvision domes should always be used with the specified Redvision power supply. All Redvision power supplies have a separate part code and should be ordered separately depending on requirements i.e. with or without alarm module, single camera or dual camera on board.

What if I require a longer than standard cable?
There are three standard cable lengths available: 3 metres (supplied with wall bracket RV-WALL) and 4 metres (supplied with pendant RV-PNDT) and 10m supplied with the swan neck RV-SWAN)
There is an optional 20m cable length avaialble part code RV-CABLE-20 or RV-CABLE-20-2 suffixed with either WALL or SWAN depending on which bracket is being used. A swan bracket uses a straight connector whilst the wall bracket uses a right angle connector.
Redvision is able to cut non standard lengths (up to a max of 50m) and are charged on a per metre basis. Contact sales on +44(0)1 420 448 448 to discuss.
What is the lens optical range?
There are two lens options:
1. 18x1 zoom which has 4.1 – 73.8mm lens with auto-focus and manual over-ride
2. 26x1 zoom which has a 3.5 – 91.00mm lens with auto focus and manual over-ride
Is a bracket supplied as standard with the RV IR Speed Dome?
Mounting options are ordered as a separate item. Mounting options include: swan-neck, corner mount adaptor. pole mount, wall mount and pendant mount. What is the warranty on the RV IR Speed Dome?
