Redvision launches the new analogue RVX20™ X-SERIES™ rugged dome

The RVX20 is the latest addition to the hugely successful X-SERIES™ range. It joins the 30x zoom, RVX30 analogue model and replaces the existing 18x zoom RVX18 model. “Redvision’s X-SERIES™ cameras are regarded by many CCTV integrators as the security industry’s benchmark, rugged dome camera,” explained Paul Hucker, Director of Redvision. “The RVX20™ uses Sony, Megapixel, CMOS sensor technology, with improved low-light colour rendition and wide dynamic range. It will dynamically toggle between colour, black and white and day / night modes, to provide optimal images in the most demanding lighting conditions. Redvision X-SERIES™ take toughness to another level

Vandal-resistance is the most common toughness rating for CCTV products. It is, in fact, a measure of impact resistance, as defined in European standard EN 62262. Products are issued with an IK rating, from IK 00 denoting no impact protection, through to IK10, the maximum. An IK10 product will resist an impact from a 5kg steel mass dropping or swinging into it, from 500mm. Redvision believes IK10 is not exacting enough.
