Redvision has successful Intersec 2016

Redvision followed a successful Intersec Dubai exhibition with the appointment of a number of new, international distributors and value-added resellers (VARs). Intersec is the leading exhibition for the Security & Safety industry in the MENA region. The January 2016 exhibition featured 1,280 exhibitors and more than 31,100 visitors from 127 countries. Before attending Intersec, Redvision used extensive independent testing to verify that its X-SERIES™ cameras would tolerate the regions’ hotter climates, without compromising product functionality, longevity or warranty. The X-SERIES™ passed tests convincingly, confirming the cameras high-quality construction and efficient power management. It also reflected Redvision’s thorough approach to entering a new market, befitting of its market-leading position CCTV manufacturer status. “Intersec enabled Redvision to showcase the X-SERIES™ rugged PTZ... Don’t feel the heat, use Redvision X-SERIES™ cameras

Don’t feel the heat, use Redvision X-SERIES™ cameras

Before entering the African, Middle Eastern and Southern European markets, Redvision has established its X-SERIES™ camera’s performance in hotter climate conditions. Exceeding the operating temperature of an electrical and electronic product, or the temperature tolerance of the components within it, dramatically shortens its life and jeopardizes warranties. The product operating temperature will be above the ambient climatic temperature, due to the heat generated by components. In the X-SERIES™, the prime contributors are the PTZ motor, LED illuminators and power supply. Exposure to direct sunlight also has a significant effect. Redvision approached TÜV SÜD, a world-leading provider of testing and product certification to carry out a series of independent tests on the X-SERIES™, simulating operation in hotter climates. The test ran... Read More

Redvision profiles its X-SERIES™ cameras at Intersec 2016

Redvision is to profile its pioneering, UK manufactured, X-SERIES™ rugged PTZ dome camera range at Intersec 2016. IP and analogue X‑SERIES™ cameras will be on the Redvision stand, S1-E48, with additional IP cameras on the Wavestore, Synectics and Digifort stands. Paul Hucker, MD of Redvision, explains, “Recent temperature testing has proven that the X-SERIES™ cameras can withstand the extreme heat that can occur in the Middle Eastern markets, represented by the Intersec exhibition. Inclusion of the X-SERIES™ on leading VMS providers’ stands demonstrates the wide integration potential for our products.” The X‑SERIES™ cameras are modular and can be configured as fully functional PTZ cameras or as a domes. A wiper can be added to remove water or dirt from the... Read More

Redvision launch radar controlled rugged dome

Ogier Electronics makes the Scan-360 plug and play radar unit, which is used to control Redvision’s IP-based and analogue rugged domes. The combination can operate as a standalone, automatic PTZ camera system or may be integrated with leading VMS solutions, via a built-in RS485 data port. Paul Hucker, MD of Redvision, explains, “Intruders, such as people and vehicles, are detected automatically at distances of up to 200 metres, in all weather conditions, day or night. The intruder’s X and Y coordinates are mapped to our X-SERIES™ rugged dome’s pan, tilt and zoom functionality, enabling automatic, real-time tracking. Alternatively, the X-SERIES™ is pointed in the direction of the intruder, so the automatic PTZ tracking functionality of the VMS can take over... Read More

Redvision announce SDK integration with Veracity's COLDSTORE

Redvision’s Full HD RV30™ is now fully integrated with a VMS system which exploits Veracity’s COLDSTORE, the world’s only storage system designed specifically for digital video surveillance. Veracity, the specialist manufacturer of video surveillance transmission, storage and display products, used Redvision’s newly released software development kit (SDK) to enable the integration. The SDK’s logical format allowed Veracity developers to complete the integration in record time, even with the comprehensive level of control it enabled. Kingsley Greenman, Director of Technical Projects at Veracity UK, explains, “The COLDSTORE-partnered VMS initially controlled Redvision’s RV30 IP rugged dome using the universal ONVIF protocol, which worked immediately with no additional development. However, Redvision’s Firmware and SDK package allowed us to take full advantage of more... Read More

Redvision’s SDK makes integration simple

Redvision provides a software development kit (SDK) to allow NVR and VMS manufacturers to integrate and control its new Full HD RVX-IP30™ PTZ and dome camera range. The SDK is presented in exactly the format control system developers require for comprehensive integration of all PTZ functionality. Bill Mead, MD of Videcom Security Ltd, recently integrated the company’s VNR control system with Redvison’s RVX-IP30, explains. “Redvision is a product partner of Videcom Security. The company provided us with a Firmware and SDK package based on the ONVIF integration protocol. This allowed us to integrate our VNR control system with the RVX-IP30 rugged domes, for use in local authority applications, where we are widely used and specified. “The integration of video cameras...
