Originating from a travelling store out the back of a Land Rover making visits to local farmers and agricultural shows in 1965, the company has grown over the past 50 years to provide its customers the best country clothing in the country. Stocking the finest in country wear, including Barbour and Dubarry, Brocklehursts required a security surveillance system to match their high-quality inventory.

Redvision Products Synonymous with Endurance and Quality

Redvision CCTV, famous for its ruggedised PTZ and static cameras, have introduced the Knight Series range of NVRs and static IP cameras to offer its customers a high-quality product range backed up by the solid technical support Redvision is known for. Paul Hucker, Managing Director, comments “the introduction of the Knight Series range has been a fantastic success with our valued customer base. The range operates seamlessly with our X-series PTZ cameras, offering add-on features including point and click control, while ONVIF conformance enables compatibility with a host of third-party equipment if required.”

An Upgraded Security System

Brocklehursts security system was operating with a legacy analogue platform. In keeping with their culture of development and quality, they invested in a full IP High-Definition solution, partnering with WG Pollard to design and undertake the upgrade. The WG Pollard team surveyed the site, identifying key areas of interest in collaboration with the client, and installed Redvision Knight Eye 10 cameras to oversee these locations. The existing analogue cabling was replaced, and the Knight Eye 10 cameras recorded back to a Redvision Knight Stor NVR, with simple plug-and-play Power over Ethernet.

Steve Roberts, Technical Manager at WG Pollard, explained that “the ONVIF compliant Knight Stor NVR from Redvision offers the reliability and quality needed for Brocklehursts. The system is connected to a monitor in store for live viewing and playback, but is also available for encrypted viewing anywhere in the World via the RedVu Go App, available for free on IOS and Android compatible devices.”

Will Hucker, General Manager at Redvision, continued “due to its H.265 recording, the Knight Stor NVR can store up to twice the amount of recorded footage than a conventional system. Moreover, RAID storage options are available to provide automatic back-up, reducing the risk of data loss in the event of hard drive failure.”

The advanced features, simple user interface and future proof equipment, combined with the expertise and experience from WG Pollard, has resulted in a fit for purpose security system tailor made to meet the requirements of Brocklehursts of Bakewell.
